Choose the Right Kind of Fish

Fish has for a long time now been promoted as brain food. It is at the top of the list of healthy foods due mainly because of findings that eating fish is associated with a reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease, vision loss, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least twice per week.

Fatty fish or oily fish and a variety that is healthy include:

  • mackerel

Non-fatty fish is also a fish category that is healthy and includes:
