Chocolate Can Be Good For You

Oh, I really like these kind of good news studies. A new study finds regular chocolate eaters may actually be thinner than those who never indulge in eating chocolate. Participants in this study were an average age of 57 and over half were males who reported exercising 3.6 times per week.

This reminds me I have missed one regular strength training session this week. I walked in fresh air a couple times. Will get back into my regular routine on Monday. I did discover a new brand of chocolate cookies I really like and of all places - at the Dollar General Store.

In this study researchers said it was the "frequency" of chocolate consumption, not the amount of chocolate that was linked to slimmer BMIs. If you sit and eat a large amount of chocolate at one time you might end up NOT benefitting with a smaller waistline.
Certain kinds of chocolate is higher in antioxidant power that has been linked to blood pressure improvements, insulin sensitivity and cholesterol levels improvements.

Don't rush out and load up on chocolate warns the researchers hoping to gain a smaller waistline. Despite these observations in the study, much more needs to be done before any valid conclusions can be made. It is true, however, that dark chocolate has been linked to having antioxidant powers. We need to use good judgment in anything we eat, not over eat and don't expect miracles from any type of foods. A healthy diet overall is most important.
