HOW TO CHOOSE A CAST IRON SKILLET - HOMESTEADING FAMILY

Man I wish I lived in a place like this with chickens, cows and vegetable gardens. I think cast iron skillets fry the best eggs, so since I am getting into fresh farm eggs for the first time, I am planning on buying a cast iron skillet.

What I find interesting from this video is she says most store bought eggs are at least 6 weeks old before you get them and they have to be washed which destroys some of the nutrition as well. She says she has stored fresh farm eggs in her refrigerator for up to 6 months and they are still good eggs. She gives you a way to test whether or not your eggs are actually fresh or could be going bad. see more in video
